Novice White, 2018-2019 (Grand Valley Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to Novice White!  This small but mighty team finished second place in the A pool Georgian Bay LL championship finals.  Including regular season games, tournaments, and playoffs, Novice White has played a total of 37 games this season, logging 24 wins, 4 ties, and only 9 loses!  What an impressive season!  The coaches are proud of the players and want to thank the team, their families, and our super fans for helping to make this a fun hockey season for all. 

What an exciting match-up!  Novice White was down by one game in the 3-game Pool A Championship Series against Osprey when they hit the ice Thursday night.  Grand Valley started off strong with Briar scoring two quick goals in the first.  Our amazing defence (Briar, Reid and Tyler R) did a fantastic job keeping the puck out of our zone, while our wingers (Autumn, Kiera, Coltan, Peyton, Kiera) played their positions well and kept the pressure on the Osprey net, and our centres (Tyler M, Curtis) played an end-to-end game.  

Novice White started their playoffs out right with a dominating win over the hard hitting Penetang Flames.

Congratulations to Novice White!  Playoff game #1 was a success because of a great team effort.  Keep up the good work!

On Saturday, December 15th, Novice White was once again challenging our friends, Novice Green in another fun match-up.  Tyler M. had an outstanding game of hockey, played his position well, and worked with his teammates to make great things happen on the ice.  Tyler had several highlights during the game, but the most memorable was his breakaway goal (that he scored mid-flight while crashing into the boards; he was thrilled when he got up and realized the puck went in!).  Tyler, your outstanding effort and never-give-up attitude makes you this weeks Champ! Keep up the good work, Tyler!
