Mission & Vision (Grand Valley Minor Hockey)

PrintMission & Vision

“Minor sports in the community is fun and recreation for everyone, not just the elite.  I think back to my days in minor hockey and those are my fondest memories, having fun.”

Bobby Orr

GVDMH - Dedicated to fun, fair play, and good sportsmanship

Grand Valley is a small but growing community of 3,000 located on the banks of the Grand River, on Dufferin Road 25, 5 minutes north of Dufferin County Road 109.

Grand Valley and District Minor Hockey offers local league hockey for players aged four years and up. Our centre is classed as a Local League centre with our registration averaging approximately 80-90 players per year.

As a member of the OMHA, we support the Initiation Program for the beginners, and offer local league programs from Tyke up to Bantam or Midget level, where numbers permit.

We strive to offer a fun and competitive local league hockey experience that focuses on skills, fun, and player development.  Our teams experience the excitement of travel-hockey in the Georgian Bay Triangle Local League, divided into regular and playoff seasons, as well as participation in tournaments.

There is nothing better than watching a Twister team play, for they all have commonality in their drive and determination. Always humble victors, gracious in defeat, playing with heart, having fun, and loving the game above the prize. Come out to a game or two and see for yourself!
