And...It's A Win!
Submitted By Austin Kellam on Sunday, March 5, 2017
Last Game Of The Season!

End of the season; a home game it is
Will that puck find the net or will it miss?
Twisters vs Cyclones; a battle for the puck
A fight of strength, wit, and a little luck

The whistle blows, the struggle begins
The visitors score and hope for the win
The Twisters do rally; Taylor answers back
So does Kellam; now they're right on track

Defense is strong, Hatcher a wall
This AtoMc team will not fall
Parents are nervous, some look away
Superstition takes over; leave or stay?

Another goal from Kellam; Jordan also with one
Beautiful goals that deserve a rerun!
The Cyclones respond and find the net
This game is far from over yet.

Penfold, Molson, Stewart, and Martin
Hold the blue line, while the Cyclones get disheartened
VanGerven, Lyons, and Bryan put on the heat
Taylor scores two more; Twisters just can't be beat!

The buzzer goes, the team storms the crease
Perseverance and Grit win, to say the least
They played as a team, determined to win
For the love of the game and the passion within

Thanks to the bench staff, for your patience and time
You coached the players and they did shine
A pat on the helmet, a fist pump or two
But you did so much more than that, it's true!

Yes, you taught them the game and positions to play
Also, respect and fairness; skills used everyday
Win or lose? Doesn't matter how the game ends
It's your smile and encouragement that will transcend!
