Sunday at the arena...Once again
The Shelburne Wolves have left their den
Thinking the win was already had
But the Twisters were determined and wanted it bad
For three years at least the Wolves have won
and Grand Valley, the underdogs, always outdone
But this day felt different; something in the air
The Twisters were ready, full of 'ATOMC' flare!
The clock was set and the whistle blows
Alison Jordan, our DJ, was ready to go
The music was loud and rallies the team
Martin gets a goal and everyone screams
Could this be? Is there a chance?
Break the curse; put the Wolves in a trance?
The game went on, goal for goal
Taylor with a hat trick; we were on a roll
Penfold and Kellam with an assist each
The win was no longer out of our reach
The power of Molson, Lyons, and Stewart
Along with Hatcher made the Wolves hurt
MacDougall, VanGerven, Jordan, and Bryan
Put on the heat and left the Wolves Cryin'
Desperate for the win, the goalie was benched
Taylor scored on the empty net and the win was clenched!
You couldn't hear the buzzer from the shouts and screams
The coaches so proud; bragging rights by all means
One for the history books; we'll never forget
This team is on fire..you ain't seen nothing yet!
Of course winning isn't everything (but it sure is nice)
We can't rely on luck, like the roll of a dice
Skating hard and running plays you've learned,
Teamwork and showing grit is how this win was earned!
