We're back at the rink in G.V. Town,
Atom Black looking to turn things upside down.
The ref blows his whistle and drops the puck,
The parents sit still and cross their fingers for luck.
Who are these boys and girls playing with heart,
Making great moves, and trying to outsmart?
Cheering each other on, in the lead or behind,
Showing GRIT, determination, and a positive mind.
We were down one when Kellum did score,
MacDougall followed suit and Taylor with four!
But the visitors came back, goal for goal,
So our defense stepped up and made a wall.
Bryan, Molson, Stewart, Jordan, and Martin
Challenged, poke-checked, and didn't give in.
Penfold, Lyons, and Van Gerven put on the heat,
Hatcher stood strong and was swift on his feet.
With only a minute and a half left to play,
Their goalie is pulled in hopes of taking our lead away.
With an extra player, the odds are against us,
But the empty net ended up as a bonus.
The puck broke free and slid towards the net
And with a flick of a stick, the win was set!
The buzzer sounded, the parents made a loud cheer,
The Twisters were ecstatic for their third win this year!
But ask any Twister and they would say,
Win or lose it's about how you play.
