Atom's Huge Win Secures Berth in Championships!
With their backs against the wall, the Grand Valley Atom Twisters delivered a total team effort Monday night in their 8-4 win over Oro.
The Twisters battled hard at both ends of the ice and used the "forecheck/backcheck/paycheque" philosophy to set the pace of the game. The Twisters never let off the gas and delivered an epic win at exactly the right time of year to stay alive in the playoffs.
Novice AP Fionn G. (playing in back to back games for the Atoms), made huge save after huge save to keep the mighty Oro Thunder at bay. Well done Fionn!
The offence was paced by Hunter M, and Griffin P, who each scored a hat trick in spectacular fashion. Goals were also scored by Eric C. and Emily P.
The Coaches are so proud of the way the Atom Twisters battled for every loose puck and gave their best effort on every shift. Keep your eyes on this team as they battle the formidable Elmvale Coyotes for the Consolation Championship! The schedule will be released in the upcoming days.
