Atoms Win First Playoff Game!
The Atom Twisters started their playoffs in dramatic fashion with a 1-0 shutout of the mighty Elmvale Coyotes. The Coyotes marched into Grand Valley supremely confident after their 4-2 victory over the highly touted Oro Thunder and were certain the Twisters would also fall prey to their highly skilled squad.
However, what the Coyotes didn't bargain for, was the gritty play and tenacious forechecking game Coaches Beal and Penfold had trained their troops to employ during the post-season. The Twisters took the play to Elmvale from initial puck drop to final buzzer, and there is no question that the Atom Twisters are primed to make an impact in the playoffs.
