WE WON!
A Shut Out!
The snow came down, the wind did blow
We headed to the G.V. arena nice and slow
Just another game...or so it seemed
A score in our favour was just a dream
The team looked different (how could that be?)
Then the whistle was blown by the referee
First period began and went by fast
0-0 was the score; How long could they last?
A single goal put us on the map
Parents went crazy; boy did they clap!
Could this be possible? Could we win?
Oops a penalty! Off to the sin bin
The clock seemed slow; just get the puck out
Working as a team is what it's all about
The last few minutes we held our breath
As the boys and girls fought till the death
A few close calls; a puck off the post
All was silent as the crowd was engrossed
So much grit and hunger for a win
They dug deep and used strength from within
The buzzer went...wait what is this?
Their first win of the season; What BLISS!
Dads were proud; Mums did cry
Hard work paid off; What a high!
Kellam, Thompson, McComb, Jackson, Morrison and Nolet
Park, Taylor, Martin, Jackson, Lyons, What do you say?
Jordan and Stewart although in absentee
Make up this most amazing team
They play with heart, encourage each other on
And now their losing streak is gone
This truly was the best day ever
A lesson for all to never say never!
