Bantams Drop 7-4 loss to Collingwood
The Bantams hit the ice a little slow after their big victory on Saturday afternoon. Collingwood proved to be a fast team that consistently stretched passes through the neutral zone to press our D with their speed and cycled the puck in the corners while making sure they always had a player in the slot to capitalize on their forecheck with a shot on net.
Collingwood put 14 shots on the net in the first 10 minutes of play to the Bantams 3 shots - thanks to strong goal tending by D. Peeling the Bantams were still in the game at the start of the third period where they rallied to make things more interesting - but simply weren't able to continue pressing the play enough to even the score.
C. Bell played a strong game scoring a beautiful hat-trick and C. Barber added a goal and an assist.
D. Peeling had a solid game in net facing 39 shots, many from high percentage scoring areas.
