Message from the President
Hello Grand Valley Twisters Family!

For those of you who don't know me, I have enjoyed coaching Grand Valley Twisters for the past four years, and want to make sure that we can offer a fun and safe hockey season this year.
Last season didn't end the way we anticipated.  This 2020/21 hockey season has started with a lot of unanswered questions and most definitely...uncertainty.  The executive team has been hard at work and meeting regularly to try and stay apprised of the ever-changing COVID pandemic, and the guidelines given by the Public Health Unit as well as OMHA, the Ontario Hockey Federation, and Hockey Canada.

This season's format will look a lot different to start the season, but rest assured, we are making every effort to get the kids back on the ice in the safest way possible, following all restrictions and protocol outlined by our Public Health Unit.  Currently, we are in Stage 3B outlined by the Ontario Hockey Federation's Return to Hockey Framework OHF Return to Hockey.  In this Stage, the guidelines allow registration, group training, and modified 3 on 3 house league games, with limited travel to outside centres within the boundaries of our Public Health Unit.

We will continue to monitor the stages as the season unfolds, and adjust accordingly.  Registration is now upon us, so make sure you get your kids registered by September 27th.  For the most up-to-date information on our return to hockey, please continue to check the website.

Thank you
Kerry Gillard

Erin Auto Recyclers
Erin Auto Recyclers is a family run business that has been operating since 1958. Owned and operated by Rob Smith, Elayne McSkimming & their 2 sons, Erin Auto Recyclers along with their employees work hard to ensure that vehicles are recycled properly. Erin Auto Recyclers are proud to be recognized by the Clean Air Foundation as the first in Canada to recover mercury switches from ABS breaking assemblies. Recovering ABS assemblies along with convenience lighting switches is an important achievement because such assemblies often contain three mercury switches that together contain over 2.5 grams of mercury, a harmful neurotoxin. These assemblies can also take more time to find and remove from end of life vehicles than other switches, proving that Erin Auto Recyclers is dedicated to their company mission of continuously moving forward and improving upon everything that affects the environment and quality of life.
