Important Update - Bond Hour Opportunities are Running Out!
Submitted By Hudson Cassidy on Friday, November 16, 2018
Hi Twisters Parents,

Hockey Day in Grand Valley is only about two weeks away!  This is a great opportunity to complete your bond hours, and will also be a fun-filled day of events!  We still need help with the following:

  • Set up on Friday evening
  •  food booth (selling/serving food upstairs, cleaning/clearing tables)
  • final evening clean up (late night cleaning tables, sweeping, take-down chairs/tables, bagging empties)

If you are able to volunteer to help out with Hockey Day, please email with your availability: [email protected]

As a friendly reminder, once you have completed your scheduled volunteer hours, you are responsible for getting your form signed by an executive member who can verify your attendance and keeping a record of the hours you have already completed (hint: take a photo with your phone so you don't lose the paper).

After Hockey Day, there will be fewer events scheduled where you could earn your bond hours.  If you cannot volunteer for Hockey Day, the remaining options to earn your bond hours are limited to your own team's gate fees and 50/50 sales (one bond hour provided per home game - talk to your team manager) or helping with our upcoming home tournaments (set-up, kitchen duties, lunch serving, clean-up, etc.):

  • Bantam tournament (Jan 12th)
  •  Tyke tournament (Jan 26th)
  • Atom tournament (Feb 9th)
  • Novice tournament (March 2nd)
