Fall Bottle Drive
This years Executive members are already busy planning fundraising events for the upcoming season!  We have scheduled a Bottle Drive for this fall!

On Saturday, September 16th from 10am to 3pm we will be collecting any empty beer, wine and liquor bottles as part of our fundraising efforts for the 2017/2018 season.  Please be sure to save your empties this summer for pick up or drop off on September 16th.  We will once again be stationed at the Grand Valley Community Center parking lot for drop offs and Parents and Players will be going door to door for pick ups.  It is not necessary but would be appreciated if donated cans can be packaged in bags of 100 cans, bottles can be placed in cases, and any wine or liquor bottles be separated in boxes or cases for easier sorting.

Last winter our bottle drive raised over $1500.00 for Grand Valley Minor Hockey.  Fundraising such as this helps to keep player registration costs down, helps to provide equipment and training aids for our players to use, as well as train new Coaching and Bench staff annually.

Owned and operated by Rob Smith, Elayne McSkimming & their 2 sons, Erin Auto Recyclers along with their employees work hard to ensure that vehicles are recycled properly. Erin Auto Recyclers are proud to be recognized by the Clean Air Foundation as the first in Canada to recover mercury switches from ABS breaking assemblies. Recovering ABS assemblies along with convenience lighting switches is an important achievement because such assemblies often contain three mercury switches that together contain over 2.5 grams of mercury, a harmful neurotoxin. These assemblies can also take more time to find and remove from end of life vehicles than other switches, proving that Erin Auto Recyclers is dedicated to their company mission of continuously moving forward and improving upon everything that affects the environment and quality of life.
