Novice Green Win Playoff Championship!
Novice Green defeated Essa 5-1 to cap off a fantastic season of hockey with a championship victory.
It was an exciting game led by Griffin P. who scored 2 goals and added 1 assist, Lucas P. chipped in with 1 goal and 3 assists, and Weston G. and Ben M. each tallied a goal.
Lee R. was a wall in net and turned aside the heavy shooting Essa Eagles which buoyed his team’s confidence. The coaching staff reports the entire squad played fantastic...both offensively and defensively.
The play was in Essa’s end most of the night, and kudos must be given to Essa's goalie who played out of this world. Defensively the Twisters allowed no more than 10 shots against and kept the Eagles to the periphery for most of them.
The coaching staff is very proud of these kids who approached every game and practice with effort, speed, skill, and determination and kept it up for the whole season...they represented Grand Valley Minor Hockey with class!!!
